DIY Feeder - (Bucket)
« on: August 22, 2011, 03:43:59 PM »
Heres another way to make a feeder for under 10 bucks.

1 large construction cone
1 5 gallon bucket with lid
Duct tape
A Bunch of zipties(optional)
Spray paint(to camo)

Sorry no inprocess pics but heres how to make it

Step 1-Cut the bottom of the 5 gallon bucket out
Step 2-Cut bottom ofcone off.
Step 3-Take the narrowest part of the cone and put inside 5 gallon bucket (from the top of bucket) until snug
Step 4(Skip if not using zipties)-You will have to drill holes one above the other as close to the bottom of the bucket as possible. Then you can take the zipties and put them through the holes you made.
Step 5-Take the duct tape and wrap it around the cone on the inside to get a snug fit with the bucket
Step 6-Now you are at the painting process which is optional to you, but i do reccomend it because in the end it looks pretty cool.
I also set mine up to hang from the handle from a tree and from the bolts i mounted on both sides that i could ratchet strap to a tree.I rarely use the bolts but they do work if you dont have any lowhanging branches to hang it on.

P.S.-You will have to hang this so it is only allowed to dump out alittle corn at a time you will have to experiment to see what best fits your situation. If you have any questions at all please feel free to pm me or write on this thread.
